Guys you did it again, another great game of baseball, we got away to a 4 nil lead after 3 innings but the Pirates fought back to see us behind 5-4 after the top of the 5th innings, then the fun began.

Bottom of the 5th and Dean was our lead off batter, he hit a double left of centre, then Nick came into bat and as he did all game sacrificed himself at 1st but got Dean home to even up the game at 5 all. With 1 out we needed to score another run to win the game. The next 2 batters hit safely to get to base and then we got a walk to have loaded bases. Two more safe hits saw us go 2 in front and then with 2 out we recieved another walk to go 3 in front, the score was 8-5 and then Dean scored 3 with a home run, final score 11-5.

We ran the bases well again this week with some sneaky steals and heaps of RBI's. The best play of the game was when Matt fielded a ground ball about 4mts off 1st base and Kyle W ran around from 2nd to cover 1st, Matt neatly under armed the ball to Kyle and the batter was out. Mitch also played strong at 3rd and threw a couple of batters out at 1st. Dean and Kyle B pitched great and as usual Sam had another strong game at catcher. Ben and Lachlan also hit well to score and get RBI's, another game with 7 runs across the plate in an innings.  Well Done Team.

Awards this week were picked by Garry Bailey and Chris Walker and again found it difficult to select only 2, but they went to Dean for a nice overall game and Matthew for a tidy game at 1st base.
