| Working Bee 16 May 2010 |
|
Our Off-Season work to prepare our ground and get it looking good for next season, has already started. During the off season we put alot of work into fixing up the running tracks and repairing the wear and tear of all our games in the summer. To that end, our first working bee took place on Sunday 16th May at Colbee starting at the respectable time of 9am. We had several volunteers, (bringing rakes or shovels) all bending their backs making our fields look good and getting them into a good condition to weather out winter. Before we return to baseball at the end of winter we generally have another working bee to make sure our fields look really impressive and to fix up any problems brought about over the winter season. We are very privileged to have such a fantastic field for our kids and us oldies to play on but lets not leave it to the committed few to labour ALL DAY to get this done. Below are some pictures of the day. |
